Lovely Dinner

We enjoyed a lovely dinner for two at Tiznow this past month. Our waiter was a complete professional. Attentive without being over bearing, he worked a busy station effortlessly. For dinner we shared the mussels provencal and the duck egg rolls. The mussel broth was excellent and the eggrolls accented with a port wine reduction were a highlight. We ordered a bottle of the Arglye pinot noir from a small but reasonably priced wine list. For dinner both the asian accented tuna and the lamb steak were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We shared a creme brulee to finish a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Pros: Professional Service, Decor & Ambiance
Cons: None
Tis Never

This review is a long time coming. We went here with a group Travers weekend, which happened to be around the time this place first opened a few years ago. There were 6 of us. We started things off well with reservations & drinks. The drinks ran out and we were still waiting...and hour and almost a half after our original reservation time...In fact, while we were waiting, a few of us walked to other restaurants to try to get a table but without a reservation it was tough...so we waited. We were finally seated. Our waiter then informed us he wasn't sure if the kitchen would be open for much longer...Really? Because the late seating wasn't our fault. When we did order, the food served was pretty dismal. 2 of us ordered the seafood risotto...it was simply inedible. I've thought abuot going back, simply because it was early in their opening & that weekend is a hectic weekend for any restaurant, let along a newbie...but the experience was just so bad none of us will ever go back. Needless to say, we refer to this place as "Tis' Never"
Pros: Drinks were good & restaurant is asthetically pleasing
Cons: Food & service
Great Food, Great Music

Funky bistro off the beaten path in Saratoga Springs. Best bar in town. The banquette seating in the dining room makes for a cozy meal with your date. Small menu but they do it right. There's always an eclectic mix of music to enjoy and on weekends they clear out the dining room for dancing! No other place like it.
Pros: Stylish restaurant and lounge
Cons: Can get loud on busy nights
